As a Laravel Developer, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend systems that are reliable, secure, and scalable. You’ll collaborate closely with frontend developers, WordPress teams, UI/UX designers, SEO specialists, and performance marketers to ensure backend logic supports usability, performance, and long-term growth.

This role is ideal for developers who value clean architecture, logical problem-solving, and ownership in a startup agency environment where projects evolve quickly and real-world constraints matter.

Location / Work Mode: India (Remote / Hybrid / Onsite – based on availability and collaboration needs)

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development & Architecture

• Develop and maintain web applications using the Laravel framework
• Design clean, modular, and maintainable backend architectures
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services for web and marketing platforms
• Ensure backend systems scale reliably as usage and data grow

Database & Application Performance

• Design and manage database schemas using MySQL or similar systems
• Optimise queries and application logic for performance and reliability
• Implement caching and performance optimisation strategies
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks

Security & Best Practices

• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls
• Ensure secure handling of user data and API endpoints
• Follow Laravel and PHP security best practices
• Maintain dependencies and frameworks through regular updates

Integration & Collaboration

• Integrate backend systems with frontend frameworks, WordPress sites, and third-party services
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure backend feasibility and data flow
• Support SEO and marketing teams with backend needs such as schema, tracking, and automation
• Participate in technical discussions and solution planning

AI-Assisted Development Workflows

• Use AI tools responsibly to assist with debugging and code optimisation
• Speed up repetitive development tasks without compromising quality
• Improve development efficiency through AI-supported workflows
• Stay updated with AI trends impacting backend development and automation
• Combine human logic with AI assistance for smarter solutions

Testing, Maintenance & Deployment

• Write clean, testable code and actively participate in debugging
• Maintain and enhance applications post-launch
• Work with version control systems and deployment workflows
• Support ongoing improvements and feature updates

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Technical Experience

• 2–3 years of hands-on Laravel development experience
• Strong proficiency in PHP and MVC architecture
• Experience building APIs and backend services
• Familiarity with MySQL and database optimisation

Architecture & Development Practices

• Strong understanding of the Laravel ecosystem, packages, and best practices
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Basic understanding of frontend integration and data flow
• Familiarity with server environments and hosting setups
