We are looking for an HR Specialist who can independently manage recruitment, attendance tracking, payroll coordination, and core HR operations while supporting a fast-paced digital marketing agency environment.
You’ll work closely with founders, team leads, and department heads to ensure the right talent is hired, onboarded smoothly, and supported with structured HR systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on execution, understands startup realities, and can balance people empathy with operational discipline.
This position is open to candidates based in India, with remote, hybrid, or onsite flexibility, depending on coordination needs.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for roles across:
    • Digital marketing
    • Design & development
    • Sales and operations
  • Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, and networks
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial HR interviews, and coordinate technical rounds
  • Understand role requirements clearly and hire execution-focused professionals
  • Maintain and improve hiring turnaround time and quality

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle

  • Handle offer letters, onboarding documentation, and induction processes
  • Coordinate joining formalities and probation tracking
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Support smooth exits and offboarding processes when required

Attendance & Leave Management

  • Manage daily attendance systems (remote, hybrid, or onsite teams)
  • Track leaves, holidays, and work-from-home records
  • Maintain accurate attendance reports for payroll processing
  • Ensure transparency and consistency in attendance policies

Payroll & HR Operations

  • Coordinate monthly payroll processing with accuracy and timelines
  • Handle salary structures, incentives, deductions, and reimbursements
  • Manage statutory compliance support (PF, ESI, professional tax, etc.)
  • Ensure payslips, payroll records, and salary revisions are properly documented

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain HR policies aligned with startup culture
  • Ensure compliance with basic labour laws and company guidelines
  • Handle employee queries related to payroll, attendance, and HR policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy at all times

Performance & Culture Support

  • Support performance review cycles and appraisal documentation
  • Work with managers to identify people issues and improvement areas
  • Promote a professional, accountable, and growth-oriented culture
  • Assist in engagement initiatives without losing execution focus

AI & HR Technology Adoption

  • Use HRMS, attendance, and payroll tools efficiently
  • Leverage AI tools for resume screening, hiring insights, and documentation
  • Automate repetitive HR tasks while maintaining human judgment
  • Stay updated with modern HR operations and people-tech trends

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience as an HR Executive / HR Specialist / HR Generalist
  • Prior experience in:
    • Startup environments
    • Digital agencies, IT services, or service-based companies
  • Hands-on exposure to recruitment, payroll, and attendance management
  • Experience handling multi-role hiring is a strong advantage

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and interview coordination
  • Working knowledge of payroll structures and attendance systems
  • Basic understanding of Indian labour compliance (PF, ESI, PT)
  • Good documentation and record-keeping skills

Execution Mindset

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organisational and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setup

AI-Era Readiness

  • Comfortable using HR software, ATS, and HRMS platforms
  • Openness to AI-assisted HR workflows
  • Willingness to upgrade skills as HR tech evolves
